starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford,

Peter Cushing

Impatient
farmboy Luke Skywalker
blasts off from his desert homeworld
to rescue
Princess Leia and destroy
the Empire's mighty Death Star...
If you've read any of the previous card
info, you'll know that Peter Diamond was
the stunt arranger on all three films in
the original Star Wars trilogy. And he
also stepped in front of the camera to
take on a number of iconic on-screen
roles...

Here, we're identifying another of
Peter's fleeting appearances as a
STORMTROOPER.
You'll spy Peter 88.5mins in to the film,
on board the Death Star, just after
Obi-Wan Kenobi is struck down by
Darth Vader.
"No!"
Luke cries out, attracting the attention
of five troopers. And a gun battle ensues
as our heroes duck into the Millenium
Falcon.
Peter's trooper is the first to get struck
down . We see him take a big red laser
bolt to the chest, whereupon, he drops
his gun, falls to his knees and topples
into the yawning repair shaft...

Stunt tricks
Peter
made a fall of around fifteen
feet. He landed on a rig of boxes
positioned just out of shot,
beneath the set!

Did you know?
The
stunt team wore special rubber
Stormtrooper outfits for their scenes.
It gave them just a little bit more
manoeuvrability during all those
shoot-outs.
Peter
donned that rubber armour
numerous times during the making
of these three films. So many times,
in fact, that the legendary Star
Wars fan legion, the 501st, granted
him honourary status in their
"Hall of Fame"!
