AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF
IN LONDON
Lycanthrope Films
directed
by John Landis
starring David Naughton, Jenny Agutter,
Griffin Dunne, John Woodvine
_______________________________________
Two
American tourists are attacked by
a great shaggy creature on a desolate
English moor. They've been savaged by
a werewolf, and all hell is about to break
loose...
John Landis' groundreaking horror film
is revered for its fantastic mix of frights
and fun and it's extraordinary physical
effects.
There's also the celebrated finale in
London's Piccadilly Circus, and Peter
was part of an extensive stunt team
put together for this difficult night
shoot.
As this contract detail confirms,
Peter was employed for one week,
starting February 23rd 1981...

Peter plays a POLICEMAN caught up in
the carnage in Piccadilly Circus.
A tan-yellow car slams against a stationery
red car, sandwiching him between them
in the process.
It's another blink-and-you'll-miss-it
appearance, but it's a stand-out moment,
for sure!

Stunt tricks
If you look closely as the tan car
approaches, you'll see there's a frame
positioned on the ground beside the
red car, protecting Peter from any harm
during the stunt.
And
that distinct tan car certainly gets
around. Prior to hitting Peter it's already
been involved in two separate incidents.
Next time you're watching, see if you
can spot it!
